Aim: we hope to create a fully autonomous open sea vehicle, with applications in data collection for marine exploration and pollution monitoring. The robotic fish could be used to collect data on temperature and pH level of ocean water, monitor specimens in the environment such as coral reefs, microplastics, and used for real-time mapping among other things.
